Three Gifts for One Quirky Boy

If you celebrate Christmas you may know how I feel.  I’m a single mother, I try my best to surprise the boys on Christmas morning with the gifts they most want.  Since they were little toddlers I always impressed upon them the importance of the day is the miracle of Jesus’ birth, family, and what we give each other all year which is love. I also have shared with them the story of Jesus’ birth and how the three kings came to visit and brought, frankincense, myrrh and gold. With that in mind, my philosophy has always been you each get three gifts; if it was good enough for the baby Jesus, it is good enough for you!

This year their Christmas list was short, as it always is, but much more expensive.  R wants an iPhone X, Ugg Nuemel boots, and an Adidas Jacket with Joggers. Not bad. He is due for an upgrade so that is not that bad for the price of the phone, the Uggs aren’t too bad in price and the athletic wear is definitely on the doable list.

T on the other had wants an iPhone XS Max, Bose around ear quietcomfort 35 headset, and JBL Extreme Speaker.  The three together total $785.00 … I usually try to stay in the $350.00 area given the fact that I don’t get help in purchasing the gifts for them.  T must have known I was going to raise an eyebrow or two and have him change things ahead… always thinking ahead and being a master negotiator, he made his case before I could even read the list.  What do I mean by that? Here is how T wrote his list:

JBL Extreme Speaker (frankincense)

BOSE Quietcomfort 35 headset (Myrrh)

iPhone XS Max  (Gold)

If it is good enough for the baby Jesus it is good enough for me… thanks Santa!

Well, T always has to have the last word, and figure his way around things.  However, his momma is the same.  So, T is getting everything he asked for this year. I found this online it’s a box that has all he has desired… and it only cost me $45.00.  Two can play this game T 😉

Keep Sparkling~
